Product Information

An automatic sprinkler system consists of three basic parts. The controller or clock, the valves, and the heads. The clock sends electricity through an underground wire to the valves. The valves open and allow water to go through the pipe and to the heads. More information on the specific products can be found below. Some links to the manufacturers' websites are provided as well.

We use many different sources of parts, to provide you with the best parts available. All of our parts are warranted for five years, and our pipe, for a lifetime.

Controllers

We use two types of controllers. For systems that have six or fewer valves, we use the "Slimdial" made by Irritrol:

For systems requiring seven or more valves, we would install a Nelson "EZ Pro."

Both of these clocks are very easy to use and flexible, to allow you to customize your watering schedule to suit all of your needs.

Valves

Our valves are Irritrol flow-through valves:

We have found this valve to be the most reliable and trouble-free valve on the market.

We also use Febco products to meet state and local backflow requirements.

Heads

We use two basic types of sprinkler heads--spray heads and rotor heads:

We been very impressed with the performance of the Hunter sprinkler head, Model PS-04, and Nelson, Models 5500 and 6000:

Hunter
Model PS-04

Nelson
Models 5500 & 6000

The spray heads are used in more confined recesses of your lawn, and the rotor heads cover the open areas. Both types of heads are very efficient and reliable and will last for years to come.
